locationbase.png Location-Based System – 4.01

-- displaying content based on geolocation --

<<<((₦ulled by Mis✞er₩izard))>>>

NOTE: This module no longer requires the YouNetco core module to function and operates 100%!!!

Also as expressed previously, this module is packed same as retail to include any/all Install Instructions or ReadMe files.  Remember, you got it here first! This or this version is not "Nulled" anywhere else!!! 07/11/2016.

How to display various types of SocialEngine content based on a user’s geo-location?

If you have the need to display different content based on your users’ location, you’ll want to check out our new Location-Based System plugin. It gives users the ability to filter the content based on the geo-location information of the person viewing the content.

Location-Based System is easy to use, because it makes use of location data which already defined in items (Ex: events, groups, listings, etc…). Users can use the filtering function on global header to tailor all of the content based on the users’ proximity or location.

The plugin comes with the advanced technology to integrate with Google Maps and the ability to detect users’ current locations. Furthermore, cookie will be used to remember users’ last filtered location, in the purpose of saving times.

Users will have full control of the features and the best geo-location search experience! Location filtering will be applied to all items and show on Landing Page, Listing Page, and Widget. It will also automatically apply main location from Location-Based System to search widget of each plugin.

Hello people, I have been tryin to set the yn location-based system to search by kilometres (km), because its defaultly set to miles. Maybe the european users would like such setting.

Even if its easy, doesnt have to be for many people (like for me - never needed it before).

So to set it to km, instead of ml, you just have to:

Open file located in:

\application\modules\Ynlocationbased\Api\Core.php

Line # 36 (should be that...)

Change the 4 digit number 3959 to 6371

So the code looks like this:

"( 6371 * acos( cos( radians('$base_lat')) * cos( radians( latitude ) ) * cos( radians( longitude ) - radians('$base_lng') ) + sin( radians('$base_lat') ) * sin( radians( latitude ) ) ) ) AS distance"

Save.

Than you can change maybe the translation of Ml (Miles) to Km (Kilometres).

I put it here just in case anybody would search for this. Maybe it will help.

also in google api developers guide...

Have a nice day.

Using this Ynlocationbased system with other templates (ex. pixy responsive...)

Maybe someone will like to use the ynlocation in other templates, than [YN] templates.

After installation it will not show up correctly in menu header.

To adjust this, just open this file:

application\modules\Ynlocationbased\externals\styles\Main.css

Line number: 78

Should look like this:

/*Popup*/
.ynlocationbased_search_box{display: none;}
.ynlocationbased_menu_item{
    overflow: visible !important;

You have to play with it, but for me, worked this:

/*Popup*/
.ynlocationbased_search_box{display: none;}
.ynlocationbased_menu_item{
    overflow: auto !important;
    display: inline-block;
    margin-top: 10px;

// margin-top pixels depend on the height of the header - of course, from the top...
