Node.js = The end of social engine forums?

So what's the deal with social engine unite?

Does that means everyone will have to move over and pay per month for their modules?

How about security? I know Javascript in general is less secure, does that affect our ability to null their softwares now?

Will we see socialengine unite here?

No, by next year support for social engine PHP will be gone and they will roll out SE Unite for self hosting. That means we got to start preparing to switch our sites over to Unite.

The thing they're saying that it will be faster because of Node.js, however they will charge per module. Which means your site will be very expensive to manage.

What about existing SE PHP sites?  Why do we "have to" upgrade?

Be glad you still have your mind...and your soul...
